Our Home

Beechcroft Green was originally The Old Rectory, before becoming a family home and then eventually a Nursing Home. It comprises 19 single bedrooms and 3 shared bedrooms, some of which have en-suite facilities. Two of the bathrooms have specialised bathing equipment.

The bedrooms are equipped and furnished to a high standard and we encourage our residents to bring in personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home. Families can install personal televisions and telephones as they wish.

The dining area and sun lounge is south facing and is a very pleasant bright and airy room overlooking the large garden. There is a large screen television, DVD, video and radio in the lounge for residents’ entertainment. We also have a variety of books in large and regular print for our residents to enjoy.

The sun lounge opens onto a patio giving access to the well maintained and established secluded gardens that have been landscaped enabling easy wheelchair access to most areas. The large patio, with its water feature and raised beds, creates a very pleasant area for residents, their families and friends to enjoy. There is also a gazebo that offers shade. We often take afternoon tea in the grounds.

The neighbouring bowling green and our gardens can be seen from many of the bedrooms at the rear of the home.

There is ample car parking at the front of the property.

Our Team

The Matron, Kelly Wroe, has the day to day responsibility for the running of the home. Kelly is a Registered General Nurse and is registered with the Care Quality Commission as the Manager of Beechcroft Green.

Kelly is supported by a team of skilled nurses and care staff who have an on-going programme of training and development which enables them to plan and deliver the appropriate care to meet the individual needs of our residents.

The home has excellent cleaning, laundry, maintenance and gardening ancillary staff who ensure the home is always well presented and provides a safe and comfortable environment.

Our chefs know good food makes happy people. So we ensure that each resident’s dietary preferences and specific nutritional needs are catered for, with home-prepared and home-cooked meals served to the highest standard throughout the day.
