History

Organised Activities

At Contemplation Care we believe that each individual should be encouraged and have the opportunity to lead a full and active life.

To do this it is important that we as a staff team get to know the individual better so that their choices, abilities and objectives are catered for.

Each resident has a dedicated key worker who has time allocated on a weekly basis to spend with the individual looking at what they want to do, where they want to go and how we as a team of staff can support them. From initial conversations when residents move in to the home an activities plan is drawn up listing the activities of their choice and where these activities are to be held. This activities plan is then held with the care plan so that both the resident and staff are aware of it.

Across the week at Contemplation Care we encourage residents to go out of the home and join in activities organized by other providers as well as participate in the activities we run ourselves. These include:

Annual Holiday

Each year Contemplation Care organises a week’s holiday for the residents at an agreed venue. Ideas are sort from each resident as to where they wish to go and then at a residents meeting the final destination is agreed.

The holiday is fully supported by staff from the home and it is open for all to attend. The cost of the trip is paid for by Contemplation Care as part of the agreed fee package, with spending money being the only personal expenditure required.

Oh what fun we had!..
